What does your credit report say about you?
As you know, monitoring your credit history is an essential part of maintaining personal financial health. Despite this, the process for obtaining a free credit report remains a mystery to many.
That's why TG hosts the Financial Literacy Credit Report Telethons each year. These telethons provide Texas students and families with essential resources to help them access their credit history free of charge.
The TG Financial Literacy Credit Report Telethons will be broadcast in two Texas cities during regularly scheduled newscasts. Watch for the telethons on the following dates and times:
- San Antonio — Wednesday, April 16 on KSAT 12 at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m.
- Lubbock — Thursday, April 17 on KCBD 11 at 4 p.m., 5 p.m., 6 p.m., and 10 p.m.
During these times, you can call 1-888-311-8881 to build a better understanding of how and why to get a free credit report, what to look for on the report, and how to correct any errors the report might contain.
