College Nights don't have to become Fright Nights!

Fall has officially begun! Yes, it's time for cooler weather, warmer clothes, and Halloween treats. But it's also the time of year when high school counselors are in the swing of getting their seniors prepped for college admissions. That may include hosting a college night or fair for your students and parents.

College fairs can be a great opportunity for students and parents to begin learning and making important decisions about college admissions and financial aid. Of course, they can also require a lot of work. To help you prepare the best event possible, Adventures In Education provides a handy guide on hosting a college night on its How-To Guides page. The piece provides step-by-step instructions as well as links to email communications you can send to your school's teachers, seniors, and parents promoting the event.

Whether you want to organize a small-scale meeting for parents and students, or plan a big college prep event with exhibitors and workshops, it's nice to know you're a click away from help. You can find other ready reference resources on AIE's Community page for Counselors and Principals to help your students and parents prepare for college.
