AIE™ offers 8 Steps to College infographic

Should I take the SAT before I apply to college or after? Can I apply for financial aid even if I haven't been accepted to college yet? These and other questions often bounce through the brains of high school students who intend to go to college but are unsure what to do and in what order. Counselors and others who promote higher education can find themselves answering the same questions over and over.

If only you had a resource that would give students an easy-to-digest overview!

Adventures In Education (AIE™) now has 8 Steps to College, an appealing and reader-friendly infographic designed to help counselors help students plan their path to college.

The infographic can be viewed on AIE (where there are helpful links with more in-depth information on these important topics), or can be downloaded as a PDF. The eight steps are:

  • Make up your mind to go to college
  • Get good grades in good courses
  • Take entrance exams
  • Explore scholarships
  • Apply to colleges
  • Fill out the FAFSA
  • Borrow smart
  • Enroll in the college of your choice
