Use AIE's Scholarship Search to find money for college
How will you pay for college? As you settle in to the new school year, it's never too soon to start thinking about the next phase of your education. And the more grants and scholarships you receive, the better off you'll be financially.
If you're neither a straight-A student nor a star athlete, you may assume you don't qualify for scholarships. But why give up before you start? Sometimes, it's just a matter of finding the right scholarship to match your interests and background.
To help students find scholarships that are a good match for them, Adventures In Education (AIE) offers a free Scholarship Search feature. The Scholarship Search provides information on more than 15,000 scholarships. Site visitors can choose to perform a Quick Search or to enter more specific data and perform an Advanced Search to find the best scholarships that fit their needs.
The Quick Search works like a normal Internet search engine. AIE visitors simply enter in relevant keywords — such as "minority" or "art" — and they are given a list of matching scholarships. For visitors who may not know where to start, a list of popular keywords is provided.
The Advanced Search offers AIE visitors the opportunity to find scholarships based on more specific criteria such as gender, geographic location, school, disability, interests, group affiliation, etc.
The Scholarship Search offers key information about each scholarship such as name, description, application criteria, award amounts, deadline, sponsor and/or contact information, number of awards offered, and type of award.
