Brothers Go Above and Beyond for Their Little Sister

Adam and John Holland, middle school students at Landon School in Bethesda, Maryland, got an idea to raise money and ran with it. The brothers have a goal of raising $22,000 to help their parents pay for their eight-year-old sister Zoe to attend private school for a year.

In order to achieve their goal, the two brothers decided to open “AJ’s Hawaiian Iceez,” a shaved ice cart that operates at various locations throughout the city in Maryland. Adam and John wanted their sister to be able to attend private school, just like they did. Being that there was no financial aid available to the boys’ parents within the timeframe that they applied, Adam and John decided to take action.

AJ’s Hawaiian Iceez, which opened in May, has made over $2,500 already. At the rate things are going, Adam and John are confident that they will reach their goal in time.
