Planning to be in the Houston area on February 9? Stop by the Houston Hispanic Forum's Career and Education Day

It's never too early to start planning for college, and attending a college fair can be a great way to get a lot of information in a short amount of time. If you'll be in the Houston area on February 9, consider attending the Houston Hispanic Forum's annual Career and Education Day for great information on going to college.

This one-day event, held for students and their parents in the Gulf Coast region of Texas, offers workshops, presentations, informational booths, and other activities on exploring colleges, learning about financial aid, and becoming familiar with the college admissions process. The event serves thousands of participants each year; last year, more than 70 colleges, universities, and other exhibitors participated.

As it has done for several years, TG (the folks who bring you AIEmail) will host the TG College Admissions and Financial Aid Plaza, where you can attend sessions and receive information about exploring higher education opportunities and financing an education, along with one-one-one assistance in completing the FAFSA. Students who bring the necessary supporting materials such as W-2s and tax returns can complete the FAFSA on site. (You can go here for a full list, along with more information on filling out the FAFSA).

For more information and a list of colleges and other organizations that will be in attendance, download the Career and Education Day program.
